UPDATED Indoor Places to Play

When it comes to getting the energy out on rainy days, sometimes it pays to head to an indoor place to play. Here's a roundup of the ones in Hampton Roads.

Virginia Beach:

Checkout Funville, the biggest indoor playground on this list, with a second location in Chesapeake. 
Great for littles, Polkdot Play is relatively new on the scene. 
The Tot Lot is located inside of Lynnhaven Mall. The playground is free to enter, but does have a height limit. 

Haygood Skating Rink has a great indoor playground in the back. 

Norfolk:
Located in the Janaf shopping center, The Pink Roller is an indoor play yard for kids. They are undergoing some changes currently after moving from Military Circle Mall. Be on the lookout for updates. 


The largest of the free playgrounds, MacArthur Mall has a large play area for young kids. While you're there, head downstairs and checkout the kids club room. There are games to play and things to do! If you park at the mall, there is a fee. 

Chesapeake:

Chesapeake's Funville is in the perfect spot for those living in both Chesapeake and Portsmouth. 

Newport News: 
Although not a playground, the Mariner's Museum has a play ship located in the front of the museum. Admission is only $1.00 per person. 

Other locations: 
Several Chick-Fil-A playgrounds are open,
